Pizza night at home: menu & recipe suggestions

Four things, one dinner, and a dough that does most of the work for you. KAMUT® is an ancient khorasan wheat with more protein than modern flour, which is why this mix gives a crust that puffs at the edge and stays chewy in the middle without a sourdough starter or a week of planning.

The rest of the box is what goes on top: a pizza sauce made from Sicilian tomatoes, garlic oil for the crust, and sun-dried cherry tomatoes for after the oven. Here is how to get four different pizzas out of it.

What's in the box

Four products, all made in Italy.

  • Pizza Mix with KAMUT® by Molino Rossetto. Ancient khorasan wheat, milled in Veneto. Add water and time.
  • Sicilian Tomato Pizza Sauce by Campo d'Oro. Already seasoned and the right thickness — no cooking down needed.
  • Garlic-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Frantoi Cutrera — 3.38 fl oz. For the crust before the oven and the rim after it.
  • Sun-Dried Sicilian Cherry Tomatoes by Campo d'Oro — 6.3 oz. Go on after baking, not before, so they stay chewy rather than scorching.

Start with the dough

Make it first — everything else takes ten minutes. The mix needs roughly two hours of rise, so start it when you get home and eat when it is ready rather than the other way round.

Four pizzas from one box

Margherita, done properly

40 minutes plus rise · vegetarian

The baseline, and the one that tells you whether your oven is hot enough. Sauce, mozzarella, basil after the bake, garlic oil around the rim.

Vegan pizza with tomatoes, pesto, olives and rocke

40 minutes plus rise · vegan

No cheese, so the pesto sauce and the sun-dried tomatoes carry it. Rocket and a final drizzle of garlic oil once it is out of the oven.

Mediterranean, with sun-dried tomatoes

40 minutes plus rise · vegetarian

The sun-dried cherry tomatoes go on when the pizza comes out, with their oil. Baked, they burn; scattered after, they stay sweet and chewy against the melted cheese.

A vegetarian dish bursting with Mediterranean vibes, easy to make and full of soul — one bite, and you’ll be wandering the streets of Naples on a warm summer night!

Mortadella, burrata and pistachio

40 minutes plus rise

A bianca — no tomato sauce at all. Bake the base with just  garlic oil and salt mozzarella, then pile on torn burrata, folded mortadella and crushed pistachios off the heat. The one to make when you want people impressed.

Four ways to run it

Two people, one night — Margherita and the bianca, split

Family with kids — Margherita first, let everyone top their own second one

Vegan table — The vegan pizza, doubled, with rocket salad

Pizza party — All four in sequence; the dough makes enough, and the oven is already hot

Questions we get

What can I make with the Pizza night at home gift basket?
Between two and four pizzas, depending on how thin you roll. The box covers the dough, the sauce and the finishing oil — you add cheese and whatever else you want on top.

Do I need a pizza stone?
No, but you need heat. A heavy baking tray left in the oven while it preheats to its maximum gets you most of the way there. The dough should hit a hot surface, not a cold one.

What is KAMUT® and why use it for pizza?
KAMUT® is a brand of khorasan wheat, an ancient grain with more protein and a nuttier flavour than standard 00 flour. It makes a crust with more chew and more character.

How long does the dough need?
About two hours to rise. Start it before anything else.

Is the basket vegan?
The four products are plant-based. Whether the pizza is depends on what you put on it.

Does anything need refrigerating?
Not unopened. Once the sauce and sun-dried tomatoes are open they go in the fridge and are best within a week. The flour mix and the oil live in the cupboard.
