Outstanding quality, my favorite of the three I just purchased (and as good or better than any I can remember having in the past). Medium-sized capers, light coating of fine-grained salt. They're salty, but not so salty that I won't eat them straight out of the jar. Moderate/strong taste, the way I like it. I can't imagine finding another brand which would blow this one out of the water, they've got to be up there.
Non vinegared capers add a meaty, juniper-esque flavor to mortared pesto. Definitely rinse first. The salt is a preservative not the food. Use the salt later for something interesting.
The supermarkets where I live don't sell salt-packed capers, so I bought these. I liked them and would purchase them again.

These salt packed capers are so much more flavorful than brined in liquid. You do have to rinse them before use. They last a really long time in the fridge
