Questions

How do I use the dipping plate?
Pour the balsamic into the grape-shaped well first, then layer the olive oil on top. Oil floats, so the two stay separated until bread goes in — and the shape of the recess gives you roughly the right ratio without measuring. Tear the bread rather than cutting it; a rough edge picks up more.
